The region leads the country in the production of vegetable oils
In the Lipetsk region, farmers harvested 770 thousand tons of oilseeds. Of these, 133 thousand tons of rapeseed, 304 thousand tons of soybeans and 319 thousand tons of sunflower.
Last year was a record year for agricultural workers – the harvest of these crops amounted to 815 thousand tons. According to regional agriculture, this year there are all the prerequisites to break the record. The area of fields planted with sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans was increased to 415 thousand hectares.
Most soybeans are harvested in the Lipetsk, Dankovsky, Lev-Tolstovsky, Dolgorukovsky and Khlevensky districts. The best sunflower harvest is in the Izmalkovsky, Stanovlyansky, Yeletsk, Lipetsk and Lebedyansky regions.
