350 thousand tons of oilseeds were collected in Bashkortostan
Harvesting of oilseeds is actively underway in the Republic of Bashkortostan, noted Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus – Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov at an operational meeting of the Regional Government today.
As of October 16, about 2/3 of the area with oilseeds, or 275 thousand hectares (68%) was threshed. Farmers threshed 350 thousand tons of oil seeds, with an average yield of 12.7 c/ha.
Today, the main oilseed crop – sunflower – is being harvested in the republic. It is threshed on an area of 178 thousand hectares (60.6%). So far, 266 thousand tons of oil seeds have been collected, with a yield of 15 c/ha.
The preparation of roughage and succulent feed is being completed in Bashkortostan. By October 16, farmers had stocked up more than 560 thousand tons of hay, about 1 million 50 thousand tons of haylage and 1 million 55 thousand tons of silage.
The feed supply in the region amounted to 22.2 quintal units. per conventional head of livestock.
